Marnie Stern is currently touring the US and will be in Europe in Nov/Dec in support of her new self titled album. You can figure out when she is playing near you by going on the myspace: www.myspace.com/marniestern1 . This is our tour blog, we are Marnie (shredder), Nithin (bass), Vince (drums), Courtney (TM), and Fig (wonderpup). We like to talk about disgusting things and take pictures of ourselves because we feel that obviously everyone would be interested in this.

Your Face is a Mess..

So Marnie and Courtney have been going out to shows and parties every night for over a week now. This might sound like we're cool and popular but it's actually insane because Marnie NEVER leaves the house (other than a Starbucks run) and Courtney rarely goes to shows. We are totally living outside of our comfort zones and it has been really fun and exhausting! We have met some amazing people but mostly ran into the same people every night which is weird because you think NYC is so massive but apparently our world is pretty small. We've watched Women play twice, saw our friends in Broken Bells hop around while 3000 people smoked pot in front of them, went to The Thermals and hung out with label mates, met up with out of town friends for happy hour and got accidently shit faced, and then last night we saw Deerhunter (fav show!) and went to an after party with Mario Batali. This is the most action either of us have seen in a long time (not enough action if you ask Marnie *ahem*). Unfortunately we forgot to take any pictures other than the Marnio photos but everyone can imagine what a show is like so just picture us dancing, laughing, drinking, and not at all looking like a couple of hot messes.

While we've been out, Vince has been working on the Guinness World Record for most episodes of Law and Order SVU watched consecutively by a human and Nithin has been eating.
CMJ is next week so we'll probably try to rest up a bit in the next few days. The band is practicing right now as I type this. They are going to sound amazing for the shows! The first show for CMJ is at Cake Shop (152 Ludlow, Lower East Side) and it's a party for Terrorbird Media who are a bunch of really awesome folks. B THERE OR B SQUARE.
