Our friend Jess came out to our show in Kansas City, and afterwards she took us to Town Topic..an amazing late night diner. We're bummed that she can't make it to our Chicago shows..
But we wanted to thank her for hanging...it was GREAT seeing you girl!

Here in the M. Stern traveling circus we find we're often rolling up to the venue for our scheduled show right in the middle of a local country band's set. Seems improbable but it happens pretty much all the time. We're usually on good terms with these folks right up to the point where Marnie starts singing free-style country tunes of her own whose lyrical content are heavily focused on the anatomy of her vagina.

Flaming Lips Soundcheck with Peaches!

Los Angeles

So everybody knows Marnie loves balls but BOY did she meet her match upon discovering the enormous reflective disco balls used by the Flaming Lips!

The Flaming Lips constructed this entire stage in order to put on the show at the Hollywood Cemetery. It was such a blast and a totally surreal experience! AND Marnie was on her best behavior and managed to not make a single vagina joke while on stage referring to the name "Flaming Lips." HUGE.

Ryan Gosling never showed up at the Intellegentsia in Silverlake. Marnie was TOTALLY bummed.

If you include all the dead people then the crowd for those first Lips shows EASILY exceeded 50 people.

Darryl from The Office, aka dude from Hot Tub Time Machine, was WAY into the show!

Billy Idol's guitarist, Steve Stevens. Somebody told me he was CC Deville from Poison. Sorry we kept calling you CC man!

Not gonna lie folks, it was a little weird for Nithin and Marn to refrain from the normal vagina dialogue/banter humiliation routine and stick to the straight rock n roll.

107 degrees in the Mojave Desert en route to Vegas! Kind of surprised Marn put her clothes back on for this pic.

The Vegas show was outside by the pool at the hip new hotel on the strip called The Cosmopolitan.
