Boy did we really get the red carpet treatment in Dayton OH! First off Nithin's parents fed us a home cook feast of delicious Indian food. The show was fantastic and we were so impressed to see people rockin out so late on a Monday night. Venue was located within a stone's throw of two porn shops which was perfect for keeping Marnie busy during all the pre-show downtime.

Thanks to Nithin's buddy from bak in the day, Ian, for taking such great care of us!

Since nothing ever seems to go smoothly on an M. Stern tour, it seems par for the course that we would be rejected entry at the Canadian border. But we would never let a little thing like arrest warrants get in our way. So as punishment, Marnie and Nithin left Vince and his DUI record in Niagara Falls to stare at the waterfall for 16 hours and contemplate the repercussions of driving under the influence. Marnie and Nithin then made their way to Toronto to play a gig as a two piece. There were many eventful public bathroom stops on their way. Nithin's stall was invaded by a mentally unstable man who desperately needed help finding toilet paper. In two separate trips, Marnie had to hop naked from stall to stall in search for t.p. Meanwhile, Vince doesn't even use public bathrooms because he is a rugged mountain man who prefers the great outdoors.

Without Vince, Fig drove most of the way

BUT when Nithin and Marn got there, they got to meet The Raincoats, hang out with their friend Vice, hang out with the awesome girls from Grass Widow, and finally got to meet No Joy. Nithin was pretty psyched about the guy/girl ratio!

So everybody knows Marnie loves balls but BOY did she meet her match upon discovering the enormous reflective disco balls used by the Flaming Lips!

The Flaming Lips constructed this entire stage in order to put on the show at the Hollywood Cemetery. It was such a blast and a totally surreal experience! AND Marnie was on her best behavior and managed to not make a single vagina joke while on stage referring to the name "Flaming Lips." HUGE.

Ryan Gosling never showed up at the Intellegentsia in Silverlake. Marnie was TOTALLY bummed.

If you include all the dead people then the crowd for those first Lips shows EASILY exceeded 50 people.

Darryl from The Office, aka dude from Hot Tub Time Machine, was WAY into the show!

Billy Idol's guitarist, Steve Stevens. Somebody told me he was CC Deville from Poison. Sorry we kept calling you CC man!

Sorry we've been MIA for the past few days, sometimes it's just hard to make time for the people when you're too busy being fed grapes by models and escorted around the upscale shopping districts of major cities in stretch limousines. WELCOME TO THE
"LAWRENCE OF A-LABIA TOUR"

We landed in L.A. on Monday and are so excited to be
going on tour with one of our favorite bands: TERA MELOS.
We've been practicing for our first show
that's tomorrow night at The Echo.
Come by if you're in town.

A lot has happened in the 10 weeks we've been home.

Vince got an awesome van which we LOVE!
Nithin has gotten funnier (as if that was even possible).
Marnie has turned into Bette Midler in Ruthless People
and has lost 10 pounds. We expect her to blimp up in the next few weeks,
since we'll be on a steady diet of mcdonald's and taco bell.

Vince and Marnie have been staying with Marn's bf Bella.
They've been cooking yummy dinners and going
to earl grey martini parties, and having a great time.

Marn woke up with (what we think is)
a spider bite under her eye.
She thinks it makes her look tougher...
like she got punched in the face...
and more like Rocky Balboa, her idol,
so she is psyched.

We'll post more later once we get the whole gang together!
